Short programs Length: 1 term, 14 weeks
Our short programs intend to give the students experience and time to learn and become more familiar with the scopes, privileges and responsibilities of a director as a film maker. It will also give the students basic or advance training and preparations to develop themes, story lines, synopsis and sequence breakdown that will be an educational reference in his/her future works. The cinematography short program aims to give introductory and advance learning on how the camera operates as a tool in film making. Learning its basic components and best lighting for the scene. The difference between 35 mm film and High Definition. Subjects are taken individually.

This program is the initial trimester of the full Motion Picture Production Program taken as a stand alone program. This is designed to give the student a basic introduction to the fundamental aspects of filmmaking.

This program runs on two trimesters of the full Motion Picture Production Program taken as a stand alone program. This is designed to give the advance student more training on the aspects of filmmaking and be able to direct their own full length film.

Do you want to be a filmmaker?
The Motion Picture Production Program is APFI’s banner program – a comprehensive one-year diploma course in all aspects of filmmaking. The program is designed to immerse the student in the different areas of production- directing, scriptwriting, editing, production design, production management, sound, visual effects, acting and cinematography. Students go through numerous individual and group video productions as exercises, shoot on digital video and 35mm film, and finish the course with a thesis film created with full artistic, technical and logistical support from the school. You also have an option in having your own Apple Macbook Pro for onsite editing.
